Here is what I came up with:
Slime: A New Playable Race for Dnd 5e
Slimes are amorphous creatures that can change their shape and color at will. They are usually friendly and curious, but also naive and easily influenced by others. Slimes have a natural affinity for magic and can absorb and mimic the abilities of other creatures they encounter.
Slime Traits
Your slime character has the following racial traits.
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 2, and one other ability score of your choice increases by 1.
Age. Slimes are born fully formed and do not age. They can live indefinitely unless killed or consumed by something more powerful.
Alignment. Slimes tend to be neutral or chaotic, as they have little understanding of law or morality. They are easily swayed by the opinions and emotions of those around them.
Size. Slimes can alter their size and shape to fit any space, but they usually prefer to be medium or small. Your size is medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet. You have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed, and you can move through spaces as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
Amorphous. You can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing. You can also enter and occupy the space of another creature that is at least one size larger than you. While in another creature's space, you have advantage on melee attack rolls against that creature, and that creature has disadvantage on melee attack rolls against you. You can't use this trait if the creature is hostile to you.
Absorb. As an action, you can touch a creature that is incapacitated, unconscious, or willing, and absorb some of its essence. You gain one of the following benefits of your choice:
You learn one language that the creature knows.
You learn one skill or tool proficiency that the creature has.
You gain one trait or feature that the creature has, such as darkvision, a breath weapon, or a spellcasting ability. You can use this trait or feature as if you were the creature, following the same rules and limitations. You can't gain a trait or feature that depends on the creature's anatomy, such as wings or claws, unless you also change your shape to match.
You can only have one benefit from this trait at a time. If you use this trait again, you lose the previous benefit. You also lose the benefit if you take a long rest or if the creature you absorbed from dies.
Mimicry. You can mimic the sounds and voices of other creatures. You have advantage on Charisma (Deception) checks when trying to pass yourself off as a different person or creature.
Shapechanger. As an action, you can change your appearance and your voice. You can appear as any creature of your size that you have seen, or a combination of features from different creatures. You can also change your color and texture to blend in with your surroundings. You can't use this trait to assume the form of a creature with a specific identity, such as a king or a dragon. Your statistics are the same in any form. Any equipment you are wearing or carrying isn't transformed. You stay in this form until you use an action to revert to your true form or until you die.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice that you have learned through your absorb trait. aa16f39245
